Relay for Life

​Opunake High School have 123 students attending Relay For Life in New Plymouth this weekend. Should you wish to donate towards the schools total go to  Relay For Life Page -

Individual Development Plans


These will take place from 1:30-4:30pm on Thursday 26 March. 20 minute meetings with Whanau Leaders focusing on Interim Reports, Attendance, Dream Learning Behaviours and Goal Setting. Once the IDP has taken place students may go home with their whanau. All other students are to remain at school. 


These will take place all day on Monday 30 March. 20 minute meetings with Academic Mentors focussing on Assessment Report, Vocational and Learning Pathways, Credits and Attendance.

Classes will not run on Monday 30 March, junior students are to remain home this day.

After a very stormy morning with thunder, lightning and rain the sun broke through for our successful gala. Thanks to all sponsors and the community for supporting our annual event. 

Athletics Day 2015

Athletics Day was a fun day with great participation by all students. Check out more photos in the gallery.

New Zealand National Maori Basketball Tournament

Students attended the New Zealand National Maori Basketball Tournament in Rotorua during Waitangi weekend. Both Boy's & Girls team played in the u17 section of the tournament, the Girl's came 3rd and the Boy's placed 6th.

A very good effort from both teams on and off the court.  We would like to thank all the parents for their support during the build up to the tournament.

2015 Orientation Activities

  Students were introduced to the DREAM values during orientation days at OHS. Actvities were at school, Orimupiko Marae and Opunake Beach.
