Hauora

As a school, we are passionate about supporting our Rangatahi to reach their full potential, not only in their academic performance but also in the development of their emotional wellbeing. The world is a complex place and our young people need lots of skills to meet the expectations and demands of the 21st Century.

This year we are making Wellbeing or Hauora a real focus and this focus is seeing some exciting developments happening, especially during mentoring time. Students are being encouraged to try different wellbeing activities including sports, walks in the community, yoga, cycling and mindfulness activities.

Our academies are also looking to continue to develop wellbeing in our students by creating connection to their community by completing community projects as well as promoting fitness and working in situations that inspire passion for learning.

Building resilience in our students is our aim so they can leave us with the ability to lead happy and fulfilling lives. We will keep you updated on the evolution of this exciting school project.
