Goal: To establish effective and positive relationships between the school and its community and agencies

Identify opportunities for the community to participate in school life, contributing to and sharing our resources.
Ensure frequent, positive visibility for the school in the community.

Consult with and report to the community appropriately and regularly, with particular regard to the Máori community.

Goal: To deliver a range of quality and ‘unique' programmes with opportunities for all to succeed.

Provide wide curriculum and co-curricular choices for students which promote good citizenship.
Identify the learning needs of individual students.
Set appropriate goals for individual students in partnership with their parents / caregivers.
Ensure relevant and appropriate programmes are available for all students.
Recognise the unique status of tangata whenua in establishing programmes.
Establish a whare wánanga – place of learning.
Diversify the Senior Curriculum for 2005.

Support a staff of skilled, motivated and caring professionals.
Ensure that quality financial systems provide adequate resourcing for both curriculum and co-curricular areas of school life.
Provide safe, attractive, well maintained, and accessible buildings and ground facilities.
Identify and utilise appropriate community and private resources.
Provide transport to our border towns.
Action 2004/5 I.C.T. Plan to ensure up-to-date and effective systems are in place for administrative and learning purposes.

GOAL: To promote bi-cultural awareness and understanding amongst our school community ‘to help develop an effective multi cultural society'

Provide policies and practices which reflect NZ cultural diversity and the unique position of Tangata Whenua.
Provide appropriate opportunities for instruction in Tikana and Te Reo Máori.
Assist students recognize and value cultural difference .

GOAL: To offer Tertiary Learning opportunities to our students and wider community.
Objectives: We will….
Provide tertiary learning with funding from the Tertiary Education Commission.

Meetings
Board of Trustees meetings are held at 5pm in the school staffroom
on the last Thursday of each month. These are public meetings where anyone is welcome to attend.
Property
The Property Committee meet monthly to plan property improvements for the school. They set and follow the action plan and 10 year property plan
